Privacy Policy

Papigochi is an event-services marketplace operated by Papigochi, LLC. Customers use Papigochi to find event vendors, ask them questions, agree terms and — where the vendor supports it — book and pay. Vendors use Papigochi to publish a storefront, manage availability, respond to requests and get paid.

This policy covers the Papigochi website and application at papigochi.com. It applies to both customers and vendors, and to visitors who are not signed in.

It does not cover how an individual vendor handles information you give them outside Papigochi, or how the third-party services listed below handle data under their own policies.

When you create an account we collect what is needed to identify you and let you sign back in:

• Your email address and the display name you give us.
• Your account type — customer or vendor — and whether you hold an administrative role.
• Your language preference and the country associated with your account.
• A phone number, if you choose to add one to your customer profile.
• A default city, state and country, if you set one, so search and planning can start somewhere sensible.

When you plan an event on Papigochi, you tell us about the event so vendors can answer usefully. This can include:

• The type of event, a title you give it, and the date, start and end time, and time zone.
• Where the event is — city, state or region, country and postal code, plus an approximate location we derive from what you enter.
• Expected guest count.
• A budget, if you set one, and the currency it is in.
• Preferences and notes you record while planning.

Papigochi carries the conversation between a customer and a vendor, and keeps a record of it so both sides can rely on what was said:

• The request you send a vendor, including the message you write and a snapshot of the event details as they were when you sent it.
• Messages exchanged in the conversation thread, and who sent each one.
• Proposals a vendor sends you — the description, the line items and the total.
• Contracts generated from an accepted proposal, including the document itself, the name of the person who signed it and when it was signed.

When a booking is created we record what is needed to hold the date and let the vendor do the job:

• The service, package, date, times and time zone booked, and the agreed price.
• A contact name, phone number and email address for the booking — which may differ from your account details.
• Guest count and any notes you add for the vendor.
• Changes over the life of the booking: confirmation, reschedule requests, cancellation, completion and any reasons recorded with them.
• For appointment bookings, the specific slot held on the vendor’s calendar.

If you operate as a vendor, most of what you give us is business information intended to be seen publicly:

• Business name, the address of your Papigochi page, a biography and the language it is written in.
• Business contact email, phone number and website.
• Your base city, state, country and time zone, and an approximate base location.
• Service areas, travel rules and the locations where you work. Street addresses are city-only to the public by default; you choose whether to show more.
• Services, packages, pricing, category attributes and availability, including weekly hours and specific exceptions.
• Verification status, and internal review notes recorded by the Papigochi team.

Vendors upload photos and other media to their storefront. We store the files, their dimensions, size and format, and any alternative text you provide for accessibility.

Vendors may also add links to their website and social profiles, and may attach YouTube videos by identifier. When a page displays a YouTube video, YouTube receives a request from your browser and applies its own policies; Papigochi does not control that.

• Photos and media files you upload, and the text you attach to them.
• Links to a website, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube or Spotify that you choose to publish.
• YouTube video identifiers you add, and the order you put them in.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to publish, and do not upload other people’s personal information.

Reviews you write — the rating, an optional title and body, and the language it is written in — are stored and, once published, shown on the vendor’s page alongside your display name.

A review is tied to the interaction or booking it came from, so that reviews reflect real experiences rather than anonymous claims.

Payments on Papigochi are processed by Stripe. When you pay, you are taken to a payment page hosted by Stripe and you enter your card details there.

Papigochi does not receive and does not store your full card number, expiry date or security code. What we keep is the record of the transaction:

• Amounts, currency, and whether a payment is a deposit or a final balance.
• Stripe identifiers for the payment, the charge, the transfer to the vendor and the platform fee — references we use to reconcile money, not payment credentials.
• Refunds we issue: amount, reason, status and timing.
• Disputes and chargebacks raised through your bank or card network, including status, amounts and deadlines.

For vendors, we also store the Stripe Connect account identifier, the country of the account, and whether Stripe has enabled charges and payouts. Bank account and identity details you give Stripe during onboarding go to Stripe, not to Papigochi. Stripe processes this information under its own privacy policy.

Some information is created simply by using the site:

• Authentication and session information, so you stay signed in. Your password is handled by our authentication provider; Papigochi never stores it.
• Standard server and request information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, used to operate and secure the service.
• A country signal supplied by our hosting provider from your network connection, used only to pick a starting language. Papigochi does not request or use device GPS location.
• Records of security-relevant events, such as failed sign-ins and rejected payment webhook signatures, used to detect abuse and fraud.

Papigochi uses a small number of cookies, and all of them are necessary for the site to work or to remember a choice you made. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party tracking or analytics scripts.

The cookies we set are:

• A session cookie set by our authentication provider, so you remain signed in.
• A language cookie recording whether you chose English or Spanish.
• An appearance cookie recording whether you chose light, dark or system.
• A referral cookie, only when you arrive through a creator's Papigochi link. It holds a random visit code so an account you create is credited to that creator, and it expires after that creator's referral window (typically 30 days). It contains no personal information and is not used for advertising.

Because we set no advertising or analytics cookies, Papigochi does not show a tracking consent banner. Third-party content you choose to view, such as an embedded YouTube video or a Stripe payment page, is governed by that provider’s own cookie practices.

We use a small number of providers to run Papigochi. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage, including vendor media and contract documents.
• Stripe — payment processing, vendor payouts through Stripe Connect, and vendor subscription billing.
• Resend — delivery of transactional email such as account confirmation and booking notifications.
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of the website.

These providers process information on our behalf under their own agreements and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks.

We use the information described above to:

• Create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
• Show relevant vendors, and let customers and vendors reach an agreement.
• Create and manage bookings, proposals and contracts.
• Take payments, pay vendors, issue refunds and handle disputes.
• Send transactional email and in-app notifications about your account, inquiries and bookings.
• Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the marketplace, and to meet legal and accounting obligations.

We do not use your event or message content to advertise to you.

Information moves between people only where the marketplace requires it:

• When you contact a vendor, that vendor sees your message, your display name and the event details you chose to include.
• When a booking is created, the vendor sees the contact name, phone number, email and notes recorded for that booking, so they can deliver the service.
• Vendor storefront content — business details, media, links, reviews and published pricing — is public.
• Papigochi staff can access records where necessary to operate the marketplace, investigate a problem, or handle a refund or dispute.
• We may disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.

If Papigochi is ever involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

We keep account, event, message, booking and vendor information for as long as your account is active and you continue to use Papigochi.

Payment, refund, dispute, invoice and payout records are kept longer, because we are required to retain financial records and because they are the evidence in any later dispute. Removing an account does not erase those records.

This policy does not commit to a fixed deletion schedule, because retention depends on legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations that vary. If you want to know what we hold about you, write to us and ask.

You control much of what Papigochi holds about you, directly in the product.

You can also ask us for help with the rest:

• Update your account details, event information, vendor profile, media and links at any time from your account.
• Ask us for a copy of the personal information associated with your account.
• Ask us to correct information you cannot change yourself.
• Ask us to close your account and remove your content from the marketplace.

Write to support@papigochi.com from the email address on the account. Closing an account removes your content from public view and disables sign-in; records we are required to retain, such as payment and tax records, are kept as described above.

We take reasonable measures to protect information: the site is served over HTTPS, passwords are handled by our authentication provider rather than stored by Papigochi, access to records is restricted at the database level so accounts can only read their own data, and payment card details are collected by Stripe rather than by us.

No online service can promise perfect security, and we do not make that promise. We hold no security certification and we make no representation that our systems are impenetrable.

If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, or you have found a security problem, write to support@papigochi.com.

Papigochi is not intended for children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has given us information, write to support@papigochi.com and we will remove it.

Papigochi serves customers and vendors in the United States and Mexico. Our providers store and process information on servers that may be located in the United States or elsewhere, which means information you give us may be transferred across borders.

By using Papigochi you understand that your information will be handled as described in this policy, wherever it is processed.

We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date at the top of this page always shows the version in force.

Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will make reasonable efforts to tell you before it takes effect.
